Bi-Weekly Round Up

I've fallen harder in love with this vest than I ever anticipated and it's made its way into the majority of my outfits throughout this entire month. When it first arrived in the mail, I wasn't sure how to style it and rarely it wore it out for a whole 2 months. But now it's proved itself to deserve a permanent place in my closet.

Bi-Weekly Round Up
I've been meaning to invest in a new bike for the past couple of years but have yet been able to bring myself to the commitment of riding it around. My biggest worry is that I wouldn't be able to bike with skirts or dresses on - blogger problems.

Bi-Weekly Round Up
Since I started to successfully grow some cherry tomatoes in my planters back in Ottawa, I've been meaning to give myself another try at an air plant. The last time I had one back in middle school, it quite literally died because I did nothing to it. Hopefully with my DIY Terrarium it'll survive this time around.

And if it doesn't, I'll drown away my sorrows in this delicious melon sangria that my cousins have introduced me to. It's quick, easy, light and hits the spot. Did I mention that weekends are reserved for food experimentation? All we ever do is cook, bake and eat!

Kitchen Play - Pesto Sandwhich

Kitchen Play - Pesto Sandwhich

Being a relatively healthy eater, I tend to opt for fresher pastes and pesto sauce definitely hits the spot. It can be thrown into a pasta, used as a spread and even tastes great in a salad. On days when I'm rushing to work in the morning or I'm looking for something quick and easy to make, I almost always reach for my jar of pesto to make my pesto sandwich.

This recipe takes under 5 minutes to make and can easily be customized to suite your taste buds and cravings.

 hello
  1. Spread pesto sauce over the bread of your choice. I prefer whole grains because it's healthier for my body.
  2. Slice up a tomato until you have enough to cover the slice of bread.
  3. Layer the cheese of your choice over another slice of bread. I usually enjoy gently warming up the cheese in a microwave after this so that it's soft and helps keep the sandwhich together.
  4. Put the two pieces of bread together and enjoy!
I have another sandwhich recipe that involves smoked salmon which is a little heavier. If you guys are interested, let me know in the comments and I'll definitely add it to my Kitchen Play series!
