Back Slit Breeze

P came down to visit me with some friends last weekend, and ended up staying through the whole week. Our anniversary happened to be on the day that he was to leave, so we spent his entire last day together exploring the city and doing different things. For the first time in over a week, it was sunny with a slight breeze, so I wanted a chance to appreciate the great weather with a nice slit back tank that I picked up from Aritzia's Snooze or Loose end of summer sale. Paired with my favorite metallic flats and slouchy knit pants, my outfit was perfect for staying comfortably in style while walking for 4-5 hours around the city.

Pajama Shorts

In the humid Canadian summers, I tend to gravitate towards breezier pieces of clothing, particularly silk shorts. They may look like pajama shorts but it doesn't really matter in weather this hot. As long as it's comfortable, it's going to be worn. One of the things that I miss the most about being a lifeguard is to be able to waltz around all day in a swim suit. I do enjoy the new found freedom of being able to dress up everyday though and wouldn't trade it up for a swim suit.

Monochromatic Black

After spending a week in Toronto, I finally had the chance to do an outfit of the day for my blog. In the summer, I almost always wake up in the morning feeling like I'm not in the mood for pants. Please tell me that I'm not the only one. I paired my plain T-dress with a grungy vest to spice up the outfit. Bad mistake, it was so ridiculously hot that my T-dress was soaked in just under the 10 minutes that it took me to walk to work.
